Sophie Smith

Sophie Smith studied at Chelsea School of Art and has been exhibiting and selling her ceramics for over ten years.

Lightly grogged clay is pressed into moulds designed to give a distinctive hand-made look to each piece. Motifs and textures are then cut into the clay and the piece fired three times. A combination of slips, matt and gloss glazes and gold and platinum lustres are used to create a precious and alluring finish.
