Gunta Anita Krumins was born in Leeds of Latvian parentage.
After a degree in Anthropology she took up glass making and went on do do an MA in Advanced Theory and Practice of Glass Art and Design at the University of Derby.
Much of her work has its origins in her unconscious; narratives of nature and time, space and shadow, memory and desire. For her, glass carries an extraordinary conceptual richness expressed through its transparency, translucence, fragility and transience.
After a period away from exhibiting she has returned with new work to sell out shows and great aclaim.
