Will Shakspeare hails from Somerset where he makes a wide range of work including friendship baubles, drinking vessels,
large hanging wall pieces, paperweights, perfume bottles, vases and bowls.
He is well known nationally through his appearances on Channels 4's Kirstie's Home Made Home where he has
been demonstrating his glass blowing skills. His glass is hand blown from recycled lead glass then coloured using
a variety of different processes.
His recent pieces take inspiration from the flora and
flora of rock pools and the amazing rock strata formations on the beach at Kilve in Somerset. He finds the creative
process a constant challenge, both physically and mentally.
Will will be at the Castle Gallery on Saturday 5th June between 2.00-4.00pm to give an informal presentation on his
