After graduating in microbiology, David Carter experimented with various art forms before becoming fired up by iron in 1986 and setting up his first workshop. He decided to learn the medium through engineering, starting at the very bottom and working his way up to become a skilled industrial metal worker. He now has a large studio forge in the East of England and enjoys the feeling of ‘doing battle’ with the metal.
All the pieces are individually made by him, numbered, signed and dated.
