Amanda Hood was born in North Yorkshire in 1972 and now lives and works in Lincolnshire.
She graduated in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design from Derby University in 1993 and after a period of teaching,
she set up her own workshop and business in 1997.
Amanda's designs are created from observations of the intricate patterns and shapes of nature and contrasting lines, colours
and texture. Her pieces are both innovative and highly wearable.
She won 'The Design Innovation Awards, Platinum Collection' for new designers in 2003 and one of her
pieces has been presented to HRH the Prince of Wales.
