Nina Parker set up her Working Glass Jewellery studio in 2004.
The jewellery includes a selection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooch pins. Her designs range from bold contemporary pieces through to delicate garland necklaces constructed from twisted wire, glass beads and freshwater pearls.
Inspiration for much of her work comes from gardens, hedgerows and the coastline around her home in Dorset.
Her passion for jewellery started at an early age. As a child, Nina would covet her grandmother's button box. It contained an eclectic collection of lovingly gathered bits and pieces, including an assortment of brightly coloured glass beads. Now as a jewellery maker, Nina has her own collection of bits and pieces which she has sourced from around the world.
The glass used is predominantly Czech glass, and the findings on earrings are sterling silver or silver plated on necklaces and bracelets. The jewellery is threaded on plastic coated 7 strand steel cable, which is both light and very strong.
Prices range from £40 - £80
