Janine Partington came late to enamelling, having first studied History of Art, Design and Film
at Sheffield Polytechnic and then Museum Studies at Leicester University. Whilst taking a break from her
career as a museum curator, she took a part-time course in enamelling at Filton College, Bristol and has never looked back!
Her pieces combine the traditional craft of enamelling with fresh, clean, contemporary design. Intricate hand-cut stencils
are laid onto copper and then powdered enamel is sifted on and then fired to 800 degrees centigrade.
Her designs are inspired by trees, flowers, seedheads and landscape.
Janine makes brooches and enamel panels mounted on a thick white board, which vary in finished size from 15x15cm to 45x45cm.
The designs shown here give an indication of the type of work, but you are advised to contact the gallery for further
images of pieces currently in stock.
Prices range from £20 - £250
