Vega gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Leeds University.
After travelling the world, she settled in the Outer Hebrides.
Her paintings are inspired by these starkly beautiful islands where the sea and the wind are a major part of life.
Here Vega learnt to sail, build and maintain a boat. She began signing her work ‘Vega’ out
of respect for a boat that carried her safely for hundreds of miles.
The startling sunsets and clarity of light of the Outer Hebrides have had a profound effect on Vega's paintings.
She uses bold, vibrant colour combinations to depict the islands and their surrounding waters in all weather conditions.
Her work is featured in numerous private collections world-wide.
