Linda Farquharson studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and graduated
in 1985 in Illustration and Printmaking. She followed this with a postgraduate scholarship specialising in printmaking.
In 1980 she purchased and restored a Columbian Press which has pride of place in her studio.
The inspiration for her linocuts and wood engravings comes from many sources including her love of travel, art,
nature and memories of a childhood spent on an Aberdeenshire farm.
Country pursuits, decorative animals and the elements are all favourite subjects, as are mythical sea creatures
and fables.
Her love of Indian miniature painting and especially the exotic richness of colour and pattern is reflected in
many of her prints.
His work is featured in numerous private and public collections including those of The Royal Bank of Scotland,
The Bank of Scotland, The Scottish Office and Paintings in Hospital Scotland.
