John McNaught

Gallery 1

John McNaught was born in Glasgow in 1966.

He studied at Grays School of Art, Aberdeen (1984-88) and Glasgow College of Building and Printing (1988-89).

He now lives and works in the North of Scotland.

His hand-made lino-cuts are superbly crafted. The images are dense with meaning and often pass comment on aspects of contemporary society.

He has received numerous awards and commissions including book illustrations for Tom Morton’s ‘Hells Golfer’ and ‘Spirit of Adventure’ and the Dunain Archive Project. He also created a floating map of Scotland for Channel 4’s children’s programme ‘Haud Yer Tongue’.

He has appeared on BBC Scotland’s arts programmes and has been profiled in the Scotsman Newspaper.

Prices range from £70 - £140
