Fiona Watson was born in Canada in 1952.
After a degree in Biological Sciences at Leicester University she studied printmaking at the Glasgow Print Studio. In recent years she has developed her work,
combining etching with the use of computer generated imagery to create original limited edition digital prints.
She has always been fascinated by the patterns, rhythms, forms and colours of nature in a microscopic and macroscopic sense. Her work is inspired by Eastern mysticism
and symbolism and she often uses organic and mineral forms such as flowers and pebbles to suggest spiritual thoughts and feelings.
She has received awards and commissions including the University of Strathclyde Prize for Printmaking and An Cnoc Landscape Print Prize 2011.
As well as original prints, her exhibition will feature collages, a mixed media construction and a lovely acrylic painting entitled ‘Nurture Table’ (see gallery 4). The work
will be for sale from 6.00pm at our preview.
Unframed copies available of all Fiona's prints.
Prices range from £100 - £800
