David Meredith was born in Leicester in 1973.
He studied illustration at Leicester College of Art where a chance meeting at the end-of-year exhibition
led him into a career in the pewter industry. He worked his way up from apprentice model-maker to head sculptor,
creating pieces for many of the leading names in the jewellery and giftware industry.
The heart of England will always be his home, but he now feels the need to flee the long damp winters to spend
time at his new studio in Thailand, which is located next to a modern foundry giving him the opportunity
to oversee each step of the casting process to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship are achieved.
This attention to detail ultimately provides the collector with a work of art which they can treasure.
David has lived and been inspired by the time he has spent in Africa, Asia and the USA. He is a keen supporter of
many wildlife charities.
He has worked professionally as a sculptor for nearly 20 years and now sells his work through galleries and
private commissions throughout the world. 'River Play' depicting two lively otters is his most recent piece and is available from a limited
edition of 50 for £950.
Prices range from £60 - £950
