Alec Garner

Since qualifying in Furniture Design and Construction in 1996, Alec Garner has been making boxes and furniture in his workshop in the Midlands.

Much of the timber he uses is sourced locally, but some designs incorporate exotic woods from South America, Africa and Australia. Many of these highly figured or brightly coloured woods provide striking contrasts to native species.

His work is hand-made to an exceptionally high standard of precision and finish.
