Helen Martino

Helen Martino graduated from Central School of Art and Design in London in 1969 and now works from her studio in Cambridge.

She uses hand building techniques with soft, flexible sheets of high-firing clay decorated with slips, pigments, resists and lustres. Her ceramic sculptures explore the theme of women in dialogue and she has also developed a particular pot shape of her own – the ‘kiss pot’.
