Karólína Lárusdóttir
Karólína Lárusdóttir Hon Ret RWS, Hon RE, HRNEAC (1944-2019) studied in the 1960’s in London and at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford. She is highly regarded in the UK and Iceland and her work is held in the British Museum, the collection of HM Queen Elizabeth II and the Icelandic National Collection. She is a painter and accomplished printmaker and her subject matter is rooted in her Icelandic upbringing. Her etchings contain a wry humour that enhances the surreal and timeless qualities she creates when dealing with her favourite topic, people.
