Katy Spong

Katy Spong (b.1971) grew up in East Africa and obtained a BA (Hons) Fine Art with qualified teacher status from the University of West of England, Bristol in 1999. She is drawn to the landscape and abundant wildlife and seeks inspiration from walks around about her studio on the Argyll coast. Her paintings and original prints are noticeable for their superb sense of colour and tonal qualities.

She is continually experimenting with paint and printmaking as media for mark-making and likes to push the boundaries, whilst simultaneously maintaining her unique artistic vision.
