Maureen Minchin

Maureen Minchin (b.1954) studied at Bath Academy but gained most of her practical knowledge of ceramics from workshops in Arran, Sutherland, Norfolk, Devon and Italy. She now lives on the remote Scottish peninsula of Ardnamurchan and the flora and fauna of her wilderness surroundings have been a great inspiration for her superbly drawn, hand-decorated earthenware pots. Her work is becoming increasingly collectable as she has made few pots in recent years and her work has achieved high prices in  auctions of contemporary ceramics. The pieces below are from earlier years and many, including the impressive large lidded jar with goose knopf, are for sale from a private collection.  Go to our online shop to purchase directly.
