Michael Lythgoe

Michael Lythgoe was inspired by canoe trips in Canada in search of the loon and wooden bird decoys to set up his own studio in the UK in 1986, dedicated to the hand-carving of birds and fish.  Each unique piece is hewn from blocks of wood using drawknives and spokeshaves and then sympathetically painted using acrylic paint.
