Mike Hunter

Michael Hunter (b. 1958) served his apprenticeship with Wedgwood Glass but most of what he has achieved since has been self-taught. Inspired by a fascination with 18th century glass, he taught himself how to embed coloured glass canes and air into the stems of glassware - a skill that few contemporary glassblowers have been able to master.  He was commissioned to make the  glasses for Jamie and Clair's dinner party in Paris in Outlander Series 2. His work is featured in ‘Scotland’s Glass 1610 - 2010 : 400 Years of Glassmaking’.
