Victoria Crowe
Victoria Crowe OBE, FRSE, MA (RCA), RSA, RSW (b. 1945) is one of Scotland’s most distinguished artists and examples of her work are in the National Portrait Gallery, London, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. Her work is a poetic and deeply personal response to existence, often reflecting her interests in philosophy and memory echoes. The etchings and screenprints of her friend the shepherdess, Jenny Armstrong, relate to the highly acclaimed exhibition ‘A Shepherd's Life’ at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in 2000.
