Kevin DaggKevin Dagg trained at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. He was, for many years, a lecturer in sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art and is now in the process of building an EcoArtHut - an off-grid cabin - in a private woodland in Fife. His highly acclaimed wood carvings develop slowly and organically from blocks of wood to capture momentary expressions and postures. Kevin has spent years seeking out fragments of Scotland’s ancient woodland and, working en plein air, he has been trying to capture the experience through drawing and painting in a way that expresses his deep-rooted connection to trees.
