Barbara Rae
Graal Press was established by Robert Adam and Carol Robertson in 1998 and since that time they have collaborated with many notable artists to create editions of original prints from their studio in the outskirts of Edinburgh. Carol and Robert were pioneers in the creation of screenprints and etchings using innovative, eco-friendly, water-based materials and have published seminal books on the subject with Thames & Hudson. They worked with Barbara Rae between 1998 - 2008 and the prints offered for sale by the Castle Gallery have come from the Graal Press share of the editions. Barbara Rae CBE, RA, RSA, HRE, HRSW, RGI, FRCA, FRSE, HFRIAS (b.1943) is an award winning, Scottish painter and printmaker whose work is included in many important public collections.
