Graal Press - Barbara Rae
9Graal Press was established by Robert Adam and Carol Robertson, near Edinburgh, in 1998 and since that time they have collaborated with many notable artists including Victoria Crowe, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham and Barbara Rae. Carol and Robert were pioneers in the creation of screenprints and etchings using innovative, eco-friendly, water-based materials and have published seminal books on the subject with Thames & Hudson. Their technical expertise and creative input assists artists in the translation of their artistic vision into handmade, limited edition prints of exceptional quality with an emphasis on hand-drawn, autographic mark-making. They worked with Barbara Rae between 1998 - 2008 and the prints offered for sale here have come from the Graal Press share of the editions. Each print bears the ‘crop’ (i.e. blind stamp) of Graal Press and is individually signed by the artist. As edition lengths range from only 40 to 175, these prints are rare and highly collectable.
