Helen L Robertson
Helen graduated with a B.A.Hons Degree in Glass from Edinburgh College of Art in 1987, then spent the following year at the Royal College of Art, London. She lives in the West Highlands near the Isle of Skye, where the landscape is a constant source of inspiration to her work. Helen uses mixed media: acrylic inks, watercolour and soft pastel, enjoying the contrast between the fluidity of the transparent watercolour with the more defined, dense pastel line. She loves to work en plein air to capture those fleeting moments when the light brings the landscape alive, throughout every season.
