Karólína Lárusdóttir
Karólína Lárusdóttir Hon Ret RWS, Hon RE, HRNEAC (1944-2019) studied in the 1960’s in London and at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford. She was a painter and accomplished printmaker with subject matter rooted in her Icelandic upbringing. Her etchings contain a wry humour that enhances the surreal and timeless qualities she created when dealing with her favourite topic, people. She is highly regarded in the UK and Iceland and her work is held in the British Museum, the collection of HM Queen Elizabeth II and the Icelandic National Collection.

A Castle Gallery Publication 60 page softback publication. This is an affectionate and informal collection of thoughts, images, and text by various contributors, who have known, or been inspired by this great artist. Originally conceived as a 75th birthday tribute, this book contains over 50 colour images of a range of work spanning her career. The first edition of this book is now sold out.
