Liz Toole
Liz Toole is based in Brighton, East Sussex. Following a residency at the Highland Print Studio, Inverness, in 2006 she has immersed herself in printmaking, making linocuts and screenprints. She likes to experiment and has worked with chine colle and more recently, has been printing onto wood. She takes her inspiration from travels in Africa, Indian textiles, Kew Gardens and bird encyclopaedias, creating decorative patterns as backdrops for birds, which stand as metaphors for human emotions.
