Mark Hearld
Mark Hearld was born in 1974 in York and went on to study illustration at Edinburgh College of Art from 1994-97. He then completed an MA in Natural History Illustration at the Royal College of Art. Working with the Penfold Press since 2004 and taking his inspiration from the natural world, Mark has been producing limited edition etchings, screenprints and linocuts, demonstrating a brilliant creativity and enthusiasm for the printed image. He also produces unique paintings, collages and hand-painted ceramics all based on his fascination for plants, wildlife and the domestic poultry and birds of the English countryside.
